Water Treatment

Process Water Recovery System for
Sand and Gravel Plants.

As throughput increases, the requirements placed on the internal water management of a gravel plant change accordingly. Once settling ponds reach their capacity limits and fresh water has to be added more frequently, this has a direct impact on operational reliability, energy consumption, and permitting processes. The project presented here demonstrates how process water can be treated in such a way that it can be circulated within a closed loop—ensuring stable water quality, reduced operating effort, and a significantly lower dependence on external water sources.

The technical solution combines desludging, thickening, and dewatering into an integrated system that can be incorporated into existing plant structures and provides long-term relief for plant operation.
