Introducing the Density Separator HDS-WV: Advanced Material Separation with Upflow Technology

 

With the Density Separator HDS-WV, WIMA introduces the advanced evolution of the HDS-S. The HDS-WV utilizes the proven upflow principle of the HDS series and includes an enhanced washing function for the heavy fraction.

Operating Principle:

The Density Separator HDS-WV features a separation chamber, a dewatering screen for lightweight materials, and a washing and screw conveyor for heavy materials. The core component is the continuously adjustable propeller within the separation chamber. This propeller allows for precise control of flow velocity, optimizing the separation process. It generates an upflow that transports lightweight materials to the discharge unit.

Heavy materials sink to the bottom of the separation chamber and are discharged via a screw conveyor. The screw shaft is equipped with alternating transport helices and washing paddles to facilitate both conveying and washing.

The upflow created by the propeller ensures that materials with a density greater than 1 g/cm³ are efficiently separated from the lightweight fraction, enabling effective discharge of wet wood and other dense materials from minerals.
