WIMA Density Separator
HDS-WV.
With the HDS-WV, WIMA introduces the consistent evolution of the HDS-S. The WV separates using the proven upflow principle of the HDS series and additionally washes the heavy fraction.
Operating Principle:
The machine comprises a separation chamber, a dewatering screen machine for lightweight materials, and a washing and screw conveyor for heavy materials. The core element is the continuously adjustable propeller in the separation chamber. This propeller allows for the adjustment of flow velocity for various materials. Additionally, it generates an upflow in the separation chamber, transporting lightweight materials to the discharge unit.
Heavy materials sink to the bottom of the separation chamber and are discharged using a screw conveyor. To facilitate conveying and washing with the screw, the shaft is alternately equipped with transport helices and washing paddles.
The upflow generated by the propeller enables the transfer of material with a density greater than 1g/cm³ to the lightweight fraction, allowing, for example, the discharge of wet wood from minerals.
