WIMA’s Sand Trap is the key to rapid and efficient separation of water and sand, tailored to meet diverse requirements. Whether processing process water or cleaning sands, we provide the ideal solution!
In processing plants, the WIMA Sand Trap excels by rapidly dewatering sand originating from washing and screening systems. Through targeted modifications, it even facilitates the effective washing of crushed sand. Another application is fine sand recovery from wastewater generated by the facility. Recovering this valuable grain fraction alleviates the settling basin of solids.
How our Sand Trap works.
The waste water from the Dewatering machine is returned to the bucket circuit via a chute, preventing the loss of fine sand. It is also possible to operate the Sand Trap without a Dewatering machine. In this case, the sand discharged has a correspondingly higher moisture content. For better utilization of the Sand Trap, a load-dependent speed control is possible.
